Another option for getting over the hit % rating OP-ness could be to give us an AQ/Naxx with bosses 4 levels over us. What do y'all think about, what is it, 25% or so Hit to reach cap?

Ever since shaman lost dw tanking I've been sorely missing maelstrom weapon. I'm incredibly excited to have it viable again. Maelstrom is so much more reliable than powersurge in a tanking scenario and will provide a major boost to our single target viability with actual consistent procs. Please to all the people that don't play shaman tank do not be loud and influence the devs to alter the t2 6set

Not great take on tank shamans & belt slot. In raids not many tank shams use fire nova. MSW vs PS, depends on situation & what rotation you’re doing. But damn you’ve missed the point here. Completely & utterly. Sham tanks finally getting fixed p5.

Just give us new Vanilla/TBC servers each 2 years that have the same patch release schedule as 2019 Vanilla/TBC WoW. Thats all we want/need.

GM/Co-raid lead on Shadowstrike here, west coast is indeed 180 ping, I am willing to give it a go but concerned that 2 of my officers say they will probably quit if it’s just US merge with US ping. I’d hope they find some way to reduce the ping.

Why would anyone want a mega server with fewer layers? Sounds absolutely awful.

I think that endgame gear being too good pushes players to not care about the leveling experience. I would enjoy a game where i had to go back to lower level zones to get a nish bis item that makes my build work. Maybe something like 20% of the gear doesn't come from the latest raid.

I feel like trade good prices will definitely go down, consumes, etc and people will need to find farms that just give consistent gold like doing your BRE daily, or instance vender farms, etc. Mainly for the gold sinks like epic mount, crafted items and for the moment FR enchants if doing past heat 1 MC.

Juat on a different topic, Maybe they can also just throw in drawf shamans and tauren paladins at some point too. Maybe the constant forum posts about faction balances will die out and bring some new energy to the game. 😂

If I got to choose the next Classic season for a "closer to 2019 than not" experience, I would do a No Addon season. The devs decide on the specific addons that make the game usable, perhaps borrowing from retail, and then no additional software allowed.

The consume prices look like they must be depressing to crafters, until you experience the multi-procs on creation, and the multi-procs in gathering. The fact that you make a slim 5s margin on your potion is no big deal when you can gin up 40 in 15 minutes of gather/process start to finish. I'm deep in the professions and I LOVE what they have done for the SoD economy, including the packs you fill with trade goods. Now if they would just take away the bullying from bots around limited stock npc items and it would be perfection.

At the very least they should keep SoD alive on a megaserver till classic+

I do hope that you cannot go from PvP to PvE megaserver or else some guilds will fall apart!

So just to clarify, Era servers dont have sharding. They just merged the servers together. So you have have 2 haracters with the same name because one is on whitemane and the other is on bigglesworth but you can still see both characters all the time. The only time you could maybe not see them is if another layer spun up, but that wouldnt split the two realms, it would split players regardless of which of the two realms their on becayse they are on the same server cluster. They are the same server for all intensive purposes

This will be amazing, i play on a populated server Living Flame EU and its not that hard to find groups, but I can imagine how it is for others on servers with smaller population. This should change all of that, I just hope they fix layering a bit and increase the size of player that can be on a layer. I play Prot Paladin from day 1 in SoD, having a lot of fun with these extra skills, mostly taunt, its game changer for Paladin Tank.

Thank you for correcting yourself on the merged servers. I’m a late night u.s. server player and I miss playing with my Australian friends like I used to do in retail vanilla -> retail wrath. The caps were lower in the old days, as you also noticed, but the servers were also busy 24x7 because as the us players went to bed the Australians woke up, and when the Australians went to bed, the Europeans started logging in.

Blazinbob is so hard to listen to half the time, and it's not just because of the speech impediment. The guy constantly interrupts to ramble on about nothing.

I quit because pvp is completely neglected and past decisions killed battlegrounds. im a blizzard summer bowl tournament finalist so i do not consider myself a rando andy. they have destroyed the social fabric of pvp grouping in battlegrounds, there is zero consistency with class changes and the line between roles has been heavily blurred. free rep thu bloodmoon and ashenvale = dead bgs. I am totally fine with better rotations and viability of memes, but almighty, as a shaman, playing the most abhorrently broken class in pvp was cringe at best. pvp interactions feel like complete chaos since there are no consistency with classes+rune combinations. make the runes available to certain specs so you cant just mix up whatever tf you want like were at the build a bear workshop. lava burst ele only, decoy enhance only, etc. "people are playing less alts now!" cope, i know people raiding on 3+ alts rn. cut the shit and fallacious arguments. you are in the minority of people who like sod. when people quit the game, they quit for a reason. nobody quits good games. dont even get me started on why world pvp "events" do not work fundamentally. they were better off making new instance battlegrounds which offer more consistency than world pvp events do. The only time world pvp works is when it is over valuable resources such as devilsaur and black lotus. Your comparison of incursions and mage boosting is a false dichotomy fallacy - mage boosting is gated by gold, for a large majority of players. New players and single mains are not going to be mage boosted right out of the gate, however incursions boosted *the entire servers population* out the gate - not only for free, but stuffed their bags full of gold. Incursions are actually worse than mage boosting but good try. for classic+ scrap the runes entirely, just bake them into an updated talent tree and BAM! instant consistency with classes and much easier to balance, as there is not an infinite number of avenues a player can do with talent rune combinations. classic wow is a role based game, a specialized character point of view

I think Blizz would be best served by producing seasons in a "tick-tock" cadence, just like SoM and SoD. One season is very vanilla true, and the next is pushing close to retail play. I really hope the SoD seasons would be as a window into what Vanilla/TBC/WotL would look like knowing the lessons from retail history. Personally, I hope that the seasons that are more like SoD in the future have significantly more dev creativity and expansion, and significant monetization through cosmetics and account services (but personally, please no WoW token) to make it possible. Universes Beyond has made WotC ungodly amounts of money, and I feel like mobile app level collaboration with outside ip would be exciting to have in a season format, and is perfectly justifiable as long as Era is intact. I would play the HELL out of a WoW Classic season filled with Lord of the Rings content locked to that season. Make me pay an additional premium sub upgrade to get it, I'd be there.

How are we talking about classic plus and talking about minimal changes. It’s literally classic PLUS. If it was CLASSIC plus they would just call it a new season with minimal changes. As far as I’m concerned it should be focused on the plus. The only red line for me is pay to win. Short of that get crazy with it. If it’s crap I’ll play era/next season/cata(or mop).

On the talents: I think an unavoidable sticking point is that the masses seem to always find a meta and then shun anyone who is not conforming to the solved setup (like Ret in vanilla) and wants to play the flavor they prefer. It’s super unfortunate, and I don’t think there’s anything a developer can do to stop the player base from gate keeping like this. Anyone can play with whatever talent setup they want, but in general the majority player base won’t accept anything outside of the optimal spec, gear, comp, etc. imo, meta chasing ruins the game as much as the developers decisions
